Bridgeland Welcomes Spring with Festive Outdoor Event.  Hundreds of people ushered in spring at Bridgeland by attending the Bring in the Spring event that was packed full of nature-themed activities to celebrate the season.
Kite flying in Shores Park was a big hit, with dozens of colorful kites given away. Also popular was a flower planting station, a hula-hoop contest, sack races and a performance by the Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club. Event-goers also enjoyed the release of more than 100 American Painted Lady butterflies.
A model home scavenger hunt had participants looking for a box of toys hidden in each model home. Other activities included a whimsical parade around Shores Park, with residents riding or pulling non-motorized bikes, wagons, skateboards and other “vehicles” specially decorated for the occasion, a fly fishing demonstration, kayaking and canoeing showcasing Bridgeland ’s lakes.
